Boston Tree Gin

On December 6^th, 1917, the Halifax Explosion forever changed our history. In response to the disaster, the city of Boston sent relief to our devastated city. In one of our proudest traditions, the people of Nova Scotia send a Christmas Tree to Boston in thanks and remembrance each year. The Halifax Explosion caused many eye injuries but the response to the disaster, led to the CNIB Halifax becoming internationally known as a centre for care for the blind.

One dollar from every bottle sold will be donated to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.

At Compass, we’ve harvested the boughs from the tree chosen each year to create this “thank you” gin. Distilled with wheat grown in the Annapolis Valley and infused with clippings from the tree for Boston, this gin celebrates the heart of Nova Scotia.
